When I was two my parents got divorced. I thought my dad didn’t think I was good enough the moment I was born, realizing that when I was older. I grew up in a Christian household, and it took me until I was 17 to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, because I forgave my father for everything. Realizing nobody’s perfect except Jesus Christ, we’re all humans and we make mistakes. I’ve been attending Redemption for nearly two years now and wanted to get baptized sooner but wasn’t ready.
I belong to Brad and Cathy’s RC Group and are the best host, led by the tremendous Ira Jones. Ever since the passing of my father last year, I’ve read the Bible more in the last two years than ever in my life. “All of life is all for Jesus” RA slogan hits me different. Nothing truly matters in this world unless you have Jesus. EVERY THING IS MEANINGLESS WITHOUT HIM! I’m not going to lie – I put on this persona I have it all figured out. I can do this on my own, make decisions, etc. But I don’t, nothing to be ashamed of its okay to ask for help we are never alone.
Now that I’m almost 30 I believe I want to be baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I have a beautiful girlfriend that I want to spend the rest of my life with. I’m come across aggressive, mean, strong. I’m actually a very great listener and understanding. I have perspective not afraid/scared to share my fears regarding emotions, I’m really an awesome, smart, nice person.
For the last 8 years I’ve been struggling with alcohol. I have nobody to blame but myself! It’s like voices and demons controlling you. I relapsed twice this year. Already taking the steps to fix my problem. I guess this is my testimony, I can’t wait to see how God will use my gifted abilities for good…
